Meditation on Doing Hard Things

These notes are for MindfulAware class Aug 15 2024

I recently got back from a five day backpacking trip. I’m currently training for a half marathon. So “Doing Hard Things” is very much on my mind right now. It’s an important part of meditation practice that doesn’t get much attention because, well, it’s unpleasant.

Why do we do hard things? First off let me acknowledge the luxury I have to choose to do them or not. That’s a privilege that not everyone has.
